| Speedy 08-17-2001 10:01 PM | Has anyone ever heard of doing this or have tried it themselves? I read an article that said that alternating hot to cold showers is great for your skin. The article said you start on hot water (as hot as you can stand it) for 90 seconds then switch immediately to cold for 90 seconds. You alternate this 5-7 times and end the shower on cold water. |

(including salts and protein metabolites) The hot water opens the pores so the cold water at the end is essential to close them again, since open pores 'catch' to much dirt / pollution. When the pores are closed you can easily rinse away the dirt from the surface of the skin. |
