Cucumber juice and rosewater are the best non-dehydrating cleansing agents.

How to make rose water
What you need
3 large handfuls of petals from fresh red roses
1 litre distilled water
A sterile bottle to keep your rosewater
A clean pot with a lid and a source of heat.

What to do
Put 3 large handfuls of petals into the clean pot.
Pour the water over the rose petals
Cover the pot
Place it over low heat and let it simmer until half the water is left.
Let it cool.
Discard the petals and pour the liquid (rosewater) into the sterile pot

Okay Wai's guy I got your number now! Trying to pull my leg, right off the bat(as we meet)! Gotta watch you! heeheehee!

About this rose water and the rest of the story is...

Where do you get rose petals? Florist or garden? If garden, should we be concerned if the roses have been sprayed for bugs?

How long can this homemade water keep? Do we keep in fridge or no? Does the rose color matter? That's probally a stupid question, but one never knows!

I have been using bought rose water. It says on the bottle Rosewater/certified... Pure natural essence fron European roses. Cotains: water and Rose essential oil. It was fairly cheap. For 4 Fl Oz it was under $5.00 Us money. Is that okay? I like it! Forgive me if I sound like a broken record but Thank You!

I use kind of the same type of 'rosewater' from the bottle as you do, Del...
It works fine for me
