I have read where a lot of you are consuming the o.o. a lot of different ways . Some are dipping their fruit in it; others are adding it to the shake and some are just drinking it. I also have the virgin coconut oil and am using it as a moisturier and really love it. Tell me more of how you use it in your diet. Could you be specific and tell me the different ways you are useing o.o. in your diet besides putting loads of it on your salad? Thanks a lot.

Someone somewhere put a plug in for o.o. from Italy. I want to say that I have gone through many brands and found that they are not all any where alike. Some will make you gag and others taste awful. The one I like the best is Venecia from Italy. It is extra-virgin and first cold pressed. I did not like at all Bertolli also from Italy. Everyone's taste is different so find one you like and when you do everything taste sooo much better!

My favourite "soup" (served with a spoon )
:
A "juice" of tomato-contents (the jelly), some chives and olive oil, that's it!
I can eat that like candy

I have to admit, after 10 weeks on the diet, I have gotten pretty lazy. I don't feel like making that salad all the time, so I'll just drink the o.o. straight from the bottle (got this idea from Goracego), eat coconut oil with a spoon, or just eat a plain avocado for the fat. You can make a great dressing with oil (olive for savory, coconut for sweet) and citrus juice (orange, lemon or lime) and keep it in the refigerator.

Oh yeah, I put about 1/4 cup of oil in my shake, I like coconut better than olive, but olive is not bad that way, either!

Veronica, Do you add the oil to the same shake that you have the egg yolks in? I am just way off on my oil consumion! (And I can't spell either, oh well)

I don't know when you have time to do that. Here is my schedule: Morning..nothing but fruit and juice (no fat) As the book says. At noon I have the shake with egg yolks. Rest for an hour then after 2 more hours I will have more fruit and the brazil nuts. At this point it is 3 or 4 in the afternoon. So now what do I do and for how long? At this point whatever I do my stomach starts hurting, until yesterday when I did not have the dried fruit. By the time I went to bed it was hurting but not near as bad. I only had 5 brazil nuts and some o.j. yesterday. At the dinner hour I had more fruit and the salad w/ o.o.

Wiseguy I put all this in a post to you in your thread a few days ago. You answered everybody else but forgot me. Did you miss it? I was waiting patiently but now I'm thinking you missed it!

Hi Del, yes, I put oil in all my shakes, with or without the egg yolks. I even put a little oil in hot honey water or cocoa powder in hot water (great substitutes for coffee or tea). I'm very sensitive to glucose so I'm careful to always have fat with all sources of it.

Sorry Del, I can't find anywhere in the book where it says to eat fruit without fat, that doesn't make sense to me. Anyway, I don't have a set schedule, I eat any time I am hungry. If you decide to get that juicer, you could make a bunch of juice in the morning (since you can refrigerate it for up to 48 hours) and drink it all day with some oil. Then you won't need so much solid food, since your tummy sounds like it is being really cranky. Did you have digestive problems in the past, before you started the diet? Or maybe you were just numb because of all the sedatives in standard food, and now you are just starting to feel your body?
Anyway, it sounds like you need to stay away from dried fruits and the Brazil nuts until your stomach recovers, then just introduce a little at a time? I hope you can handle avocados, they are very soothing and filling to me and great for the fat.

Hi Veronica,

Okay, I am now! I have been eating only fruits in the morning for a while now. I started doubting what I was doing and looked up in the book to find it and I did find it right before I posted it! Now I can't find it! I do recall Wai giving her blessings on it in our e-mails.

So, Wai if I am all wrong on this let me know!

I tried yesterday and today to take the oil by itself after fruit and I don't think I can hack it. Maybe I need to find another oil. I tried the coconut and the o.o. I thought I had a good one. I love it on my salad and lots of it! I was able to put it in my shake but I did not enjoy the shake as much. I also was able to put it in a glass of juice and it was okay. I could do that! So maybe when I get the juicer...

I ordered the juicer today, and can't wait for it to get here! I see someone has come on to say that it can be bought for a lot less on another site. I should have waited a tad longer! Anyway it comes with all the goodies you got with yours!

My stomach has been slowly getting worse as I get older! I was doing proper food combining before the diet because of it. Nothing helped. I think it's a combination of things. Dried fruits, the fiber in the fruits and maybe the nuts. I hope not the nuts too, as I love them and I need them!!The avocados are wonderful, thank goodness! Wai had to teach me how to eat them and once I found out it's been an avocado a day ever since!
So I am very much looking forward to the juicer! Thanks again for all your help towards getting it.

I tried to order the Sweet Birch body shampoo but something went wrong with my online order and I have to call them tomorrow. I found the shampoo at the health food store but it was not the golden wheat it was another one(same company), For normal to dry hair. So I got that. I guess I am coming right along with all this. Now if I could just get all the fat I need... Tummy is still better today. It is amazing how my body is responding to this diet. I have never seen my body respond to anything but this. And it has all been good!

Hi Del - I'm glad you are feeling better all the time. I used to have digestive problems, even with food combining sometimes (did you get that from Fit for Life like I did?), but Wai's tips have really helped me. Did you also try coconut oil in your shakes? I like that better than olive oil with fruit. Maybe you can still eat the nuts, just by themselves and then wait an hour before you have something else? I would hate to give them up, too, I mean, we need CRUNCH!

You probably got the Giovanni 50/50 shampoo, I use that one, too. They are both really nice.

Keep on truckin' Del!
