I realize I can't have grown a new head of hair in this time, but I figured out, it is shedding so much less. I hardly find any hair in my brush or in the shower drain now. Do you know the reason for this? Another thing, I never had much facial hair, just fine blonde hairs that are hardly visible. Now I notice it is almost completely gone (I still have eyebrows and eyelashes!). Also, the hair on my legs is growing much more slowly and seems finer, I don't have to shave as often. Any ideas, Wai? These are, of course, very pleasant side-effects! |

(and the B vitamins are far more effectively absorbed when accompanied by lots of fat) On this diet you are almost solely consuming good fats. In countries where they consume loads of olive oil, like Italy and Spain, the women generally have gorgious hair. Also, on this diet you are consuming much less protein in general, while protein processing requires a lot of energy and vitamins, because protein (unlike fats and sugars) contain always nitrogen. The other components of protein (and fats and sugars) are carbon, oxygen and hydrogen, which are easily excreted as water and carbondioxide, but the nitrogen needs to be metabolized through somewhat toxic ammomium and urea. Especially much vitamin B2, B6 and folic acid are required for protein processing, while especially folic acid is very important for your hair. But I really don't have a clue why you develop less facial hair. I think Holly mentioned that she had increased eyebrow hair growth. Anybody? |
