Schmolch 05-04-2003 03:22 AM	i have eaten (fresh) trout the last few days and i really like it. Tastes great and feels great and i like it more than tuna. But.. is it safe?
Wai 05-08-2003 05:59 AM	though the risk of ingesting tapeworms from raw trout is extremely small, wild trout may contain tapeworms tapeworms may survive in the intestinal tract for several years, causing stomach pains, weightloss and anemia, but can easily be eliminated with medicines you can also buy trout from a closed hatchery (not in contact with seawater) where the fish arent fed crustaceans (containing the tapeworms).
