| Author | Topic: non-fresh egg yolks = acne? |
| jhontry 03-19-2003 03:39 PM | Hi, if the egg yolk is not fresh, it will cause acne? thanks |
| Moon 03-19-2003 03:51 PM | HI there... The reason eggs must be fresh is so you do not take the chance of getting salmonella. |
| jhontry 03-19-2003 04:57 PM | Thank you Moon |
| Simontreally 05-25-2003 12:31 PM | All the eggs in my area fail the freshness tests: - how long and hard should you shake them, i do it quite alot and they all sound like they've got a little water inside. - not many with cracks or holes - when i crack the eggs open, there is a jelly centre, but the outside is very watery like - does this mean they are not fresh? Some break in my hand, some you can role around, those are the ones ive consumed. But still every single egg i have brought, from different places, organic or not (all in date) still have that watery outside. I have never had a jelly like full egg white, in about 60 eggs i have brought from all sources! i have been ill too |
| Wai 05-25-2003 01:09 PM | it is too bad that there are no fresh eggs available where you live ... ![]() |
| Simontreally 05-25-2003 01:28 PM | i cant get fresh fish either - damn western society is sooo annoying! so where else can i get what i need b12 suppliments dont give you zinc, cholestral etc.. whats the best processed food to eat to get these vitimins? cooked beef is low in protein, anything else regarding least acne |
| ongwb78 05-26-2003 11:08 AM | Hi all, I really need ur sound advice this time! The eggs I bought from a local market cannot be considered 100% fresh as it still contains watery whites. I love egg yolks and have been eating about 10 egg yolks per day. So far, I did not get sick except that the acne has not yet cleared. I can't eat nuts and fish. So is it still ok for me to continue eating the "UNFRESH" egg yolks for protein? Thanks! Any advice would be great! |
| Wai 05-26-2003 11:11 AM | regarding acne it is okay (do you make sure to remain physically inactive afterwards, for 1.5 hours?), but consuming not-so-fresh egg yolks may give you stomach pains and the runs have you seen any improvement? have you been 100% strict? (for how many days?) |
| ongwb78 05-26-2003 07:38 PM | Hi Wai, its day 5 since I started this diet. I consider myself being 100% strict. Hopefully I didi not leave out any important details..... Please critic my diet:- My daily diet - 8 tomatoes 5 bananas 10 tablespoon cold press olive oil 1.2 ml OJ 2 apples 10 egg yolks (80% fresh) I weigh abt 70 - 72 kg. I stand abt 179cm tall. According to the nutritional calculator, ( FDA men, 19-24yr, 72kg, 177cm):- RDA Current Intake -------------------------------- 2900 calories 3263 calories 58g protein 51g protein 197g fat 355g carbo I wash my face with blended cucumber juice. I started to apply olive oil to my face after washing for about 2 days. I rinse my face with distilled water. Current status - There is a slight improvement in my skin condition. The big bumps are clearing up. However, new small pimples & a few big ones are constantly forming too. |
| Wai 05-29-2003 11:40 AM | seems fine to me... i guess the "1.2 ml OJ" is a typo? (1.2 L, or 1,200 ml) |
| ongwb78 05-29-2003 07:04 PM | Opps. Typo error. You're right, it should be 1.2 litres.... ![]() |
| gavriel 05-30-2003 04:59 AM | I thought it is bad to apply Olive oil to skin because it contains much Vitamin E and therfore accelerates the shedding of the skin...?! Coconut seasam or Walnut oil are better. |
| RRM 05-30-2003 05:36 AM | Yes, you are right, walnut oil, coconut oil and sesame seed oil are better. (Though olive oil does not contain THAT much vitamin E; 12 mg / 100 gram). RRM |
