| bk 03-02-2003 07:24 PM | Hi, I will try to answer your question, but Wai may have something else to say, or may correct me. quote:Use the nutrient calculator to figure this out. Set the RDA/FDA to your age/height/weight and then fiddle with the quantities. quote:Hmmm? I don't understand. Do not eat canned tuna! It has been processed and is no longer raw. It can cause acne. Hope that helps, Brian |
| jhontry 03-03-2003 03:39 PM | thanks brian but i dont mean canned tuna, i am giving an example of the size of a can of tuna, that way you can tell me 'how much to eat according to my age to get enough protein and omega 3? thanks ![]() |
| Wai 03-04-2003 01:07 PM | hi jhontry, quote:consuming lots of fruits, you need to eat about 3.5 oz fresh raw salmon or tuna daily in my country (the netherlands), the smallest cans of tuna contain about 150 gram, which is a bit more than 5 oz |
| jhontry 03-04-2003 02:50 PM | thank you ![]() |
| jhontry 03-07-2003 12:35 PM | hi Wai and members i went to these japanese restaurant, 2.75 dollars for one little piece of tuna, i ask if it was fresh and not from the freezer 'they said yes' i dont know if is true, anyway it tasted really nice, my question is if one little piece for times a week is enough to be healthy, also when is the ideal time to eat it? thanks ![]() |
| Wai 03-07-2003 12:39 PM | did you mean to say 4 little (sashimi) pieces of tuna a week? if so, that is a bit little... why don't you also consume fresh raw egg yolk? |

| Wai 03-12-2003 12:54 PM | quote:have you tested them? quote:the 4 to 5 pieces sashimi a week is almost negligible 2 to 3 egg yolks a day is perfect quote:not for the vitamin B12, but regarding protein and other nutrients (iron), it is still too little. do you eat Brazil nuts? |
| jhontry 03-12-2003 03:41 PM | hi miss Wai, i eat brazil nuts, but i am starting to eat the egg yolks{i take them out of the refrigerator 1 hour prior to eat them), i am noticing that i am getting some pimples (maybe from the egg yolks), is this normal in the first days? should i eat 2 or 3 egg yolks if i am at the same time eating about 10 brazil nuts daily?, i think i dont gonna eat any more suchi, is this o.k? how many egg yolks and how many brazil nuts would you recommend me daily? if also drink about 4 table spoons of olive oil daily. Could you just recommend me how much fats to eat daily? please. I hope i am not boring you with so many questions thank you |
| Wai 03-13-2003 11:31 AM | quote:no, it can't be from the yolks, but it may be from the Brazil nuts How long are you on this diet? are you on the 100% strict diet? quote:if you are also eating the Brazil nuts, only one piece of sashimi daily, or one egg yolk, is already enough If you are not eating the Brazil nuts, you need at least 2 to 3 egg yolks daily. quote:if you eat egg yolks, yes quote:try consuming 3 egg yolks a day and no Brazil nuts for 2 weeks, to see whether the new pimples are from the Brazil nuts quote:the general guideline is 1 gram fat for every 2 grams sugars you can check the amount of sugars and fats in your diet by submitting your diet to the nutrient calculator |
