| Wai 01-07-2003 02:12 PM | What is MOST important, is what they actually eat; what feedings they receive; they may contain harmful substances that accumulate in the egg. If hens are free to eat insects and wurms, of course, that is absolutely great! (and much better than any commercial feedings) But if they also eat bad feedings, that may be worse than caged hens receiving better feedings... |
| Auron 01-14-2003 02:21 AM | I found some eggs that said no antiobiotics,or animal by products and they were cage free but they do get fed grains is this better than commercial eggs? |
| Auron 01-14-2003 02:39 AM | sorry it says no hormones with a natural grain diet if you want(you don't have to) you can check their products out here http://www.egginnovations.com/ |
| Wai 01-14-2003 02:12 PM | i doubt that the grain feedings are really natural (raw, no pesticedes etc.), but at least the feedings contain no animal by products... every improvement is better than none |
| engesongwok 02-23-2003 04:41 PM | So how can you really be sure that you are getting natural eggs? Do I have to raise my own birds to get eggs? I have considered raising some type of small bird to get the yolks...but I haven't the slightest idea about taking care of birds, or how much trouble it might be. There has to be a bird which doesn't require much space, doesn't make much mess, low cost, low noise and produces eggs regularly... |
