Hi RRM.
I love eating fresh raw egg yolks, I just drain the yolks from their bags to a cup and then eat with a teaspoon. It is so good. I drink oj before it.

I used to eat fish, too, but I can't anymore, I don't know why but if I try to eat just a little bit I feel like I'm gonna puke. No matter how fresh the fish. And I used to LOVE salmon....I would like to know why I hate it now.

Now I eat yolks every day, normally 6 in the morning but sometimes (like today) I have 8 raw yolks all in one go. I am having my period and I really crave yolks at that time. But is this too much fat/cholesterol/protein to be eaten in one sitting? Does my blood protein level rise too much or something? Or am I ingesting too many calories? I am 22 female, 58 kgs, 187 cm.
I also eat Brazil nuts daily (10-15)
Am I overdoing the yolks? Maybe I don't need all those nutrients? What do you think

No, you're not overeating on egg yolks. 8 yolks is 133 gram, and that is not much. It is not too much fat, cholesterol or protein.
Regarding to the sample diet, Wai advices to eat no more than 5 egg yolks, but that is just because of the sample diet, since in some, consuming more can cause acne. Since you are way past the sample diet, and you don't get acne from eating more egg yolks, you can perfectly do so. 133 gram egg yolks is certainly not too much.

Why you now don't like fish anymore? It may be due to 'overeating' it; not eating too much of it, but day, after day, after day, always the same. Personally, I love to eat salmon, but only 3 days in a row maximally. Then I don't eat it for a few days, and then I want to eat it again. So, maybe you just have been eating it too many times in a row?
Or... maybe it is because it is fish from a hatchery, and your body doesn't like the antibiotic residues etc they contain.
Stop eating the fish for a wile, and then try eating it again, maybe you like it then.

if you don't get acne from it, it is not too much protein; its only 19 grams protein (from the 120 gram egg yolk)...

Strictly, you don't need those extra nutrients, but excess of any of these nutrients will be prevented by decreasing the absorption rate and/or increasing the excretion rate.
In a country like finland, where one has long dark winters (little serotonine stimulation by the sun), you can use the extra good cholesterol to feel well. (cholesterol activates serotonin receptors)

Besides that, the egg yolks also supply you with valuable fats.

okay great cos I really crave them.
I feel like I have to eat that much, and I feel good. No, I don't get acne no matter how many yolks i consume. However, raw salmon used to make me break out if I ate a bit too much of it.

yes, i think that's because it is MUCH easier to consume too much protein (more than your skin can handle) by eating salmon than by eating egg yolks...

What would be the symptoms of eating too many egg yolks if I am not getting acne from them? I want to be sure I'm getting enough, but I don't want to be eating more than I should, and I do love them!

don't worry about eating too much; if you don't get acne, there is nothing to worry about, just as you cannot overeat on fruits...
Go ahead!
enjoy! [Smile]
