I have tried to get info on the salmon I buy from my store, but the company importing the fish from Norway doesnīt seem to be very happy about answer my questions about food, growth hormones, antibiotics, mercury and so on.

BUT.. today I saw that the shop has begun to sell a Swedish produced salmon that is "organic/ekological" grown.
Donīt know any details yet but I assume it is free from antibiotics and hormones.
There is a Swedish organisation called "krav" with "laws" that must be followed if someone wants to sell a product with their mark.
"Krav" does not allow pesticides, chemicall fertilizers, hormones and antibiotics.

I must try to find out where the salmon is "farmed" though, hopefully not in the baltic sea (between Sweden and Finland) because all the pollution. I am concerned about mercury and other poisons.

It is great that more and more people demand food that is grown without the use of hormones and antibiotics (and pesticides etc).
We, the consumers, are the only ones who can force a change.
