| Jaswant 10-25-2002 08:55 AM | I live in a city where to get certain foods is incredibly difficult. Most of the poultry farms feed the hens with "shit" ... so we all here know about the risk that we run when consuming raw egg yolks, the minimum it is a Salmonella. We receive the fish frozen... and an employee of the fish store told me yesterday that they sometimes wash the fish with a "substance" that makes it seem fresh. There is no Brazilian Nuts around here. It is not that the above-mentioned depresses me, but rather I simply see the reality which is. I will sometimes be able to get farm eggs, free of Salmonella. When I go to the sea I will surely be able to buy really fresh fish ... I see more difficult to get the Brazilian Nuts, but Wai already told me how to replace them. The question is... how do I replace FISH AND YOLKS ?? From where can I obtain this protein that you recommend as absolutely necessary, at least 3 times a week?? Thank you Wai... I know that the beginners can be discouraged with any thing. I hope you can guide me. I'm really happy in this diet. TY Jaswant |

If that is the case, the eggs never contain too much salmonella. A little salmonella is no problem to your body; that just stimulates your defense system to increase its strength. About the other shit that the feed the hens; people that eat cooked eggs, indirectly ingest that trash too; it is not destroyed by cooking (just the bacteria are). And, fish from hatcheries (most of the fish available for sashimi) are fed the same trash... It is much better to eat fresh raw eggs than no fresh raw animal food at all... quote:Then you cannot eat it, and you should consume the fresh raw egg yolks... quote:If you eat the egg yolks, you don't need to worry about the Brazil nuts, and then you can eat Macadamia nuts instead, for example. |
