AuthorTopic: What is wrong with frozen fish?

Hello,
I've started following Wai's regimen for 1 days and the results in term of health in general are exceptional.
I was wondering however what was wrong with raw frozen fish? Frozing can't alter protein or fat, can it?
I'm consuming 2.5 kilos of fruits but only in juices. Is that wise?
Strangely I don't feel hungry for 4 hours with these meals. Should I eat less and more often?
I do produce in my garden 300 kilos of apples every year. I thought that buying an electric dehydrator would be a good idea? Does anyone use this kind of stuff?

Uhhh, after ONE day? Isn't that a bit early to tell?

Yes, it does. To a far lesser extend than cooking, but it still does. Closely examine the texture of fish that has been frozen, in comparison with fish that has not; you can see the difference: it is as if the texture of the frozen (and defrosted) flesh 'has been broken'...
It is also known that, in comparison to 'fresh flesh', meat that has been frozen deteriorates faster than meat that has not.

It is perfectly okay.

That is because you just started; your glycogen depots may be filled 'to the roof'. Or do you consume lots of oil with it?

Not less. You should eat as much as you feel like.
And if you are not hungry, obviously there is enough spare energy left, or your system has to get used to this new way of eating first. You better closely watch your weight for the next few weeks; it will tell you whether your weight management is okay.

When kept at the right temperature (cool), you can easily keep apples for a year, so, strictly, it doesn't have to be necessary.
sorry, but I don't know anything about 'electric dehydrators'...

Thanks Wai,
By the way, I meant 10 days instead of one!!
Isn't the change of texture in frozen fish due to cristalization affecting the integrity of the cells rather than the proteins themselves?
It would be interesting to test frozen raw fish to see if it promotes acne.
Unfortunately I can't keep my apples for more than 4 months in my cellar.
For information, these electric dehydrators allow us to dehydrate at say 110°F. When dehydrated in the sun, I believe that the temperature can easily reach 140°F.

This has been tested many times, and it certainly DOES promote acne.

So, how does it work? How does the dehydration take place?

If that works well, it is perfect!
