I'm sorry, but caviar is never raw. Caviar very easily deteriorates, and therefore always some heat-treatment is applied... [Frown]

I'm sorry, but I don't know whether consuming fresh raw shrinps is REALLY risky... I couldn't find much info about it, except for

* a warning (because of unacceptable residues of veterinary drugs called nitrofurans) against eating warm water shrimps (from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Bangladesh)

* and about ONE case of botulism due to eating raw shrimps in the EU in 1998.

* And, of course, shrimps from 'faecally-contaminated' water should not be consumed (this may cause cholera).

* Freshwater shrimps may sometimes be infected with roundworm (the Angiostrongylus cantonensis), which can cause local inflammatory reactions in humans. (Most patients recover fully)

Until i get my hands on really fresh fish & shrimps i would like to know if consuming raw but previously frozen fish / shrimps can affect cellulite. Besides can you tell me which fish are safe to eat raw, puffer fish is availiable where i live for example, but it is poisonous hehehe!
And how do you prepare raw fish to be eaten??? thanks! [Smile]

I haven't really looked into this (I really should); I just eat raw tuna, salmon and mackerel, but there are many other fish that you can eat raw.
The most tasty fish are high in fat (as the ones mentioned), which is essential, luckily [Cool]
You can check out sites and/or books about sushi / sashimi to find out what other fish you can perfectly eat raw.
Please let us all know when you find out more, okay?
