| Klodoggg 10-13-2002 03:09 AM | How long can we go without egg yolk or sashimi? I've noticed on days I go without, or just don't eat that much in general, I get really bad head rushes if I get up too quickly. Is this related at all? |
| Wai 10-13-2002 03:51 PM | You should not go a day without protein; they supply you with the building blocks (amino acids) for every single cell in your body. So, you at least need Brazil nuts (highest protein quality) and / or fresh raw animal food.quote:Ooops!!! This means that you are consuming too little energy. There is too little glucose available for the brain. You should increase you food intake immediately. MAke sure to consume more energy. If you have trouble consuming more food, you should chose more high-energetic foods, such as nuts and juices with oil and sugar added. If you don't, your body will break down cells for energy (you will 'eat your own body'). Don't think too lightly about this, this is a very serious issue. |
| Klodoggg 10-13-2002 08:12 PM | Thanks Wai. I will eat more nuts and fruit since I do love them. And I love yolk mixed with OJ. But I need 2 lose weight -- I am about 20 lbs overweight. So I don't want 2 add sugar to drinks, u know? But I won't let the head rushes happen anymore... |
| Wai 10-14-2002 12:01 PM | quote: You NEED sufficient sugars to be able to lose weight properly; check out the weightloss section, and also check out the weightloss part in my book. On my diet, you will lose the overweight anyway; PLEASE don't eat too little, because then you will eventually give up on the diet. |
| rick 10-21-2002 12:32 AM | C'mon, Wai...you told him that he needs to eat nuts or fish or eggs EVERY day for protein reasons. That's simply not true. Fruit has all the protein we need. We might want these other foods for other reasons, but they are not needed EVERY day to ensure sufficient protein consumption. You will have an energy deficiency before you have a protein deficiency. I was surprised to see you write something so clearly erroneous. |
| Wai 10-21-2002 01:26 PM | quote:You are referring to the information presented at http://www.13.waisays.com/protein.htm If you read that site carefully, you will see that it is about consuming fruits PLUS Brazil nuts that provides you with sufficient protein... ??? |
| Hannes 04-26-2003 09:13 AM | Is it dangerous to temporarily consume less protein than the recommended amounts, for a week or so? The reason I ask is because I've just started to follow this diet, so I've not yet learned how to eat one full egg yolk. I also haven't found any good fish source I can trust, though I should look more into sushi without the rice. I've got no Brazil nuts either, so right now I'm afraid I might go some days ingesting less protein than recommended, before I can start to eat more raw egg yolks and find more fresh fish. - Hannes |
| Wai 05-02-2003 07:48 AM | quote:no, that certainly isn't dangerous if you would continue to consume too little protein, you would simply lose weight, and losing too much weight then eventually becomes dangerous, but temporarily consuming less protein is not dangerous at all You can safely take your time to build up your defense system, getting used to consuming the raw yolk just dont hesitate and go ahead with it |
