| monica 09-12-2002 08:11 PM | the Daikon radish that is shredded raw and always served with sashimi in japanese restaurants. I heard that it is excellent for digestion. And what about wasabi?? we should have this with sashimi, yes? |
| Wai 09-13-2002 08:32 AM | The Daikon radish (a white root vegetable) is okay. Beware that often this radish has been cooked; make sure it is raw. Unfortunately, the wasabi (a green ground root) is too spicy; it has water attracting properties. |
| lyn 09-13-2002 12:15 PM | Wai, sometimes i eat uncooked hot peppers...do they have water attracting properties? and...iv'e been off antibiotics (not for acne) for about 3 or 4 days now but took a few capsules of a supplement called spectrabiotic- the good bacteria,blue-green algae, jerusalem artichoke root. i know that you don't favor products like these but i wondered if just taking it a few times would be ok so i can get back to the egg yolks... i had a few bad days of too many munch foods and am trying to get back on track. thanks |
| lyn 09-13-2002 12:17 PM | BTW THE CAPSULE ITSELF IS VEGETARIAN |
| monica 09-14-2002 07:08 AM | should we also exclude cayenne pepper, red chili pepper flakes and jalapenos from the diet? |
| Wai 09-14-2002 03:27 PM | quote:Yes, and so they can cause acne. quote:They cannot help you to be allowed to eat the raw egg yolks sooner. You really need to wait 2 weeks… ![]() |

| mliq 05-09-2003 12:05 PM | I have been eating a lot of ginger since I started the diet because that is the dressing used in sushi places. Is this okay? Ginger is a little spicy I know but not much. I really like ginger dressing and I would like to use it at home as well instead of just oil and vinegar if this is acceptable for the diet. |
| Wai 05-09-2003 12:07 PM | im sorry but ginger can cause acne as well, so you need to save that for the experiments after the sample diet oil and vinegar are okay during the sample diet |
| Don 05-11-2003 10:43 AM | Does anyone know if we can eat seaweeds? especially the one on Sushi? |
| RRM 05-11-2003 10:48 AM | The seaweed is excluded from the 100% srtict sample diet. Seaweeds are dried involving heat. That way also some of the vitamin B12 is damaged, and harmful analogs have formed: link |
