Hi all,
I am new to this board and would like to try the diet but am wondering how one eats raw eggs? Just swallow them down or mix them with something?
Thanks!

If you just swallow them, you may find that increasingly groce, though some do perfectly fine with it.
You should not consume the egg white, since raw egg white contains 2 enzyminhibitors; avidine and ovomucoid (which are detroyed by cooking). Also, do not consume the bag that contains the yolk (the liquid).
If you are not used to eating raw egg yolks, it is much easier to consume them by mixing them with fresh orange juice for example; Just make a glass OJ, and then add the yolks. Stir with a fork, and drink it. The yolks make the juice taste creamy and a bit vanilla-like.

Make sure to remain physically inactive for at least an hour afterwards. So, it is best to consume them when you are going online or to watch TV.

Especially in the beginning, the yolks may make you drowsy / sleepy; that is perfectly okay.

Thanks Wai!
So I can not have the yolks before going to class for example? How many raw eggs must I consume per day? Only the yolks, right? Not the whites?

You are an amazing person for helping so many people, thank you.

you better not, indeed.
Can't you do it at night? (dinnertime?)

At least 2, but 5 is generally perfectly fine. So far, nobody reported that he/she could get acne from eating too many raw egg yolks. (eating too much raw fish can cause in some)

Yep: only the yolks, NOT the whites.

I have a hard time finding really fresh eggs organic and am fighting with myself to buy or not to buy the regular ones with the pollutants in them. I think i'm gonna look into getting my own chickens (I'm not even joking)... Do you buy organic eggs?

I try to buy organic eggs, but mostly they simply aren't fresh enough [Frown] , and freshness is most essential... so, I end up buying regular eggs.

Hi Wai,

you once told me I'm allowed to eat 5 yolks daily as I am 187 cm tall...is 5 the right amount or can I eat even more? Do I get any benefit from eating more?

And I usually have the yolks with orange juice in the morning (so 5 or 6 yolks at ONCE) is that too much fat or something in one meal?

Should I only have 2 yolks and then 3 later or is it ok to have them all in one? How do you have your yolks?

I don't like eating raw fish anymore. I prefer having just the yolks. Am I missing out on nutrients or is this ok? I eat Brazil nuts and lots of fruits as well as an avocado daily. And olive oil.

thanks,
Sanna

If your skin has no problem with eating more yolks, yes, you can perfectly eat more, and since egg yolks are more nutritional than any other food in the world, yes, it is beneficial to eat extra yolks.

It's perfectly okay.

You can have them all in once. If you first have 2 and then 3, you need to make sure to be physically inactive after both times, so it is easier to have them all in one. (that's what I do)

No, you are not missing out on anything.
Unlike fish, egg yolks do not contain vitamin B3, but most fruits already supply you with sufficient vitamin B3.
Only serotonin-sensitive people may miss out on B3 when they don't eat the fish. I'm serotonin-sensitive (which means that I heavily depend on daylight and good cholesterol for feeling well.
Both serotonin and vitamin B3 are composed of tryptophan in the body, and thus the dietary intake of B3 is tryptophan-sparing, leaving more tryptophan to be converted into serotonin. (which is noticable in the serotonin-sensitive)

Granadilla, tuna, salmon, mackerel and dried apricots, -dates, and -plums contain most B3.

This is what you should do:
Make a list of what you, on a average day, eat. (everything!). Then submit this diet to the nutrient calculator, and then you can check for every nutrient whether your diet is sufficient (in comparison to US RDAs)
If your version of the diet is low in a certain nutrient, you should look up what foods are high in this nutrient, and you should add some of these foods to your diet, and re-submit that diet to the nutrient calculator.

From the SampleDiet Rules:

1) As a woman you should consume 2 egg yolks OR maximally 50 gram fresh raw fish a day.

If you are a tall man you should maximally consume 100 gram (3.5oz.) fresh raw fish OR 5 egg yolks a day. If you are a relatively short man, 60 gram (or 3 egg yolks) is the right amount.

This because redundant protein can easily increase the blood-protein level, since blood protein level can fluctuate very much; from 100% (alanine) up to 900% (cystine). A too high blood protein level can elevate the protein level in the true skin, making the skin temporarily retain more water, pinching off sebum canals.

Increasingly I have been eating more and MORE egg yolk...I find that I am very, very hungry for fatty things and cholestrol. I crave egg yolk most days.

I have been eating on average 12 yolks a day, and sometimes as much as 16 yolks a day. The other day I ate TWO large avocados and 8 yolks with 2 tblspoons of sugar all in one meal. Is that too much?

I am a active male, 38 years old, about six feet tall and about 230 lbs. Eating all this egg yolk, can this cause a medical problem, or indicate some condition?

I am a 22 year old girl and I only weigh 57 kgs...recently I have been eating up to 19 egg yolks every day [Big Grin]
Could be too much protein but I love them so much...

No, and no.
Your body loves it, because the good cholesterol indirectly stimulates your serotonin receptor activity, which makes you feel good. Getting exposed to sunlight (in)directly has a similar physical effect on you (it prevents the breakdown of serotonin).
Another reason your body loves it, is because of the good fat and the high nutrient contents, and because it is very easy to digest.
People reason that eating egg yolks can cause a medical problem because of the cholesterol, but our body is perfectly able to convert redundant cholesterol into bile acids, which aids the digestion of dietary fat.
It's perfectly healthy.

We are susceptible to acne, and in people who are, consuming too much protein results in acne. If your skin is fine with the protein, your body is fine with consuming this much egg yolks.

Thats good to know. There is SO much 'tradition' behind anti-fat and anti-cholestrol, its difficult for me to get away from it completely. I tend to believe you however, as I have NEVER gotten sick from eating fresh egg yolk, and everyone has been warning me about salmonella or other 'problems' associated with it. So far it hasn't happened, and I have been following the 'wai says' plan more or less since early January.

Interesting...such a small person can eat 19 egg yolks per day without any problem. I have had one dozen today already, plus sushi. I could go home and eat an avocado and 6 more egg yolk!

What would be VERY helpful for others, if you have your blood cholesterol and fat levels checked by a physician some time.
