So for a post work out recovery drink I could get the following.

12 Oz. fresh squeezed OJ
Free form crystalline Amino Acid blend
Glucose or Glucose tablets (to spike insulin)
L-arginine (for aid the insulin response)
L-glutamine (for improved muscle repair)
One capsule (vitamin C & E) and drain the gelcap
One electrolyte capsule (Na, K, Mg)

So 20g carbohydrate from Juice /w 30-35g from glucose for a total of 50g

The right amount of amino acids to equal 13g protein(I will need some help figuring out how to do this)

Then add 2.5g of l-glutamine and 1.25g of l-arginine

This is the website that explains the theory behind there product. From personal experience, this product works extremely well.

Also Wai are what natural foods would work well as phosphates to buffer lactic acid? I use sodium diphospate some, but this can only be safely used twice a year.

Based on your research, I am led to believe that the free form AA's would have a greater efficacy than the BCAA's and whey protein found in Endurox R4.

13 gram protein = not a given amount, because the effectiveness of 13 gram protein depends highly on it's source / amino acid composition.

Obtaining 13 gram average protein is easy; the protein is already ingested (from any other food), but not utilized since it lacks methionine / cysteine. So, just by ingesting additional methionine / cysteine, you 'activate' protein previously ingested / present in the blood.
By taking a 1,000 mg methionine supplement daily, you turn about 60 gram protein (equal to soy protein) that previously remained unused for construction purposes, into protein that can be used to build muscles.
So, a lower dosage would do in order to obtain the amount of protein that you need.

How much sodium diphosphate do you normally use exactly?

Absolutely!
Not just because of the greater protein quality, but also because of the very effective absorption.
And without causing acne and adverse health effects. [Smile]

I have started supplementing with l-methionine at 1gram/day and it seems to help out. I also have been eating the brazil nuts as well.

Is is alright to supplement additional free form l-glutamine and l-arginine.

About the sodium diphosphate

I use 4g, 3 days before a competition and 2g the morning of the competition. If you keep using it the efficacy drops and your body would lose the ability to buffer any more acid. Also for about 10 days, your body can't use the calcium one intakes for building bone (or so I have researched).

loading up on egg yolks and fish would be most suitable, 3 days before a competition, but isnt a good idea regarding the morning of the competition
so, i would keep using the supplementary phosphates in the latter case
otherwise it is very hard to get that much from natural foods
