| ongwb78 05-11-2003 10:03 AM | Hi Wai, with this diet, is it ok to jog say 3 times a week? |
| RRM 05-15-2003 03:02 PM | That totally depends on what you want. So, what are your goals; how do you want the jogging to affect your body? |
| Sanna 05-16-2003 05:38 PM | RRM and Wai, I'm curious, do you ever do any sports or is it just walking? I LOVE to dance (outside with good music)...ride horses, swim, and I have fallen in love with cycling. And I walk, of course. I enjoy it most when I'm listening to music. What do you think about games like tennis, soccer, badminton, hockey, golf...? I love the rush I get after cycling (or running)...is this rush good or bad? (the endorphins, right?) |
| ongwb78 05-18-2003 04:58 AM | Hi RRM, I don't intend to be big and muscular. My goal is to be staminally fit. So is jogging still ok? |
| Wai 05-18-2003 01:01 PM | Sanna, no sports, just walking (and some kicking and stretching exercises) RRM walks a lot too (because of his job), and does weight exercises (and stretching) to shape his body the rush you get is not bad at all; it activates the hormonal system that needs to be triggered every once and a while overloading your body is bad; not the rush (endorphins, epinephrine etc indeed) quote:yes, then it is okay, but closely monitor your body's response; if it hurts somewhere (besides your muscles), find a different way (walking, cycling) |
| karen 05-23-2003 09:36 AM | Dear Wai, I´ve been on your diet for over a year now, everything with the skin (acnewise) seems under control. Before I started the diet I used to be a jogger (about 5-8 km per day). After reading the book I stopped and started walking. About 2-3 months ago, I felt like jogging again; so now I just made up this routine walking 15 min. then jogging 15 min then walk another 15 min. maybe 3 to 4 times a week. This has worked fine I think...maybe I should walk every day? Of course I´d love to jogg more as I used to, without being skared to lose muscle. (That could be a risk, right?) I combine this routine with PILATES 2 times per week. (have you heard of this?) What do you think about this routine? The skin of my body does seem to have lost tightness... looks kind of "flabby" to me! Especially around the tummy area and waist. Any thoghts? Also I want to mention that I had a stool test made because I thought I might have parasites (here in Mexico that is rather comon). In the results it said No parasites, b u t MUSCULAR FIBER was found. ¿What the H.. does that mean? I hope I´m not losing musc. tissue! If so, would that mean, that I´m having too little protein? I must confess, that I have eliminated egg totally from the diet... mainy out of lazyness. I do sill have fish and nuts (let´s say 2-3 times a week). Hope to hear from you soon ciao Karen |
| Wai 05-23-2003 10:01 AM | Hi Karen!quote:if you dont want to lose muscle, dont jog very long, and make it a bit more intense, by running up (outdoor) stairs / hills also, to prevent muscle loss, it is best to not jog in one pace, but do sprints in between (or climbing) quote:im not familiar with this, what is it? quote:have you lost weight the last few months? quote:probably quote:ah, there you are! its probably too little protein (unless you are eating big fish meals) |
