| Author | Topic: Inability to Gain weight on raw foods |
| precisionnutrition 03-30-2003 03:24 PM | Wai, Excellent site. Lots of good points. I have an inability to gain weight on raw foods. I'm 6'2, 178 lbs. currently (used to be 221 lbs--all muscle). I lost about 43 lbs. when I went vegan, then eventually raw, although I didn't need to lose any weight. I've been a raw foodist for over a year and haven't been able to put on any weight at all, despite doing heavy weight workouts the entire time. I've seen your recommendations for weight gain on this board, but I'm allergic to orange juice. Have been my entire life. What can I do to gain weight? I'm a hockey player who needs to add 30-40 lbs. to my frame. My coaches have been trying to force me to drink Protein shakes like Met-Rx for awhile now, but I have been promising I'd gain weight eventually. Thanks for your time. Mark |
