You mentioned that in order to maintain a proper caloric balance you need to limit your workout. What do you mean? What is are muscle specific excersises? And how should I be training? Also, please explain the whole cardiovascular issue?

i meant that you need to limit your workout to muscle-building exercises, not aerobic exercises
the obvious example is marathon runners versus sprinters; the difference in body mass is obvious
maybe you can specify about the explanation you need?

You first select a muscle that you want to have bigger
Then you find out exactly what movement covers the use of this muscle, without triggering the use of surrounding muscles. the smaller the covered muscle area, the more specific the exercise, the better you can shape your body
You should use the weights that match the muscle you want to exercise, and you should beware for chosing too heavy weights, since the heavier the weights, the less accurate / specific the exercise
So, chose weights that seem too light; if you need to move too often to feel something, you skip to a bit heavier weights. Only do so, after having established that you only exercise the targeted area, and nothing more.

can you be more specific? (this goes for all the addressed issues)

i think the 'cardiovascular' benefits of aerobic exercise are misleading. from yoga's point of view, intense aerobic workouts actually agitate the heart muscles by requiring it to hard extra hard to supply the blood. weight-workout is stimulating enough. to be healthy, you don't want to go to any extreme like aerobic workouts.
