| Author | Topic: Calcium/osteoporosis question for ReformedRobotMan |
| Ganesh 05-19-2003 12:44 PM | Apologies for asking a fairly casual question here, but I was directed to this forum by 'BC' from Barbelith. I recall a looong thread - or series of threads - on the connection between calcium and osteoporosis, and I know you were trying to contact a variety of specialists with a view to interesting them in conducting research to test your hypothesis that calcium causes osteoporosis. Has anyone started researching this? |

In return, my late apologies for the 'tight leather attack' back then, it wasn't personal, but merely to draw attention. Sorry about that. quote:There were a lot of comments made by us in various threads, indeed, and there was also one thread specifically about that issue. Simultanously, we had kept a similar thread going on for 3 years on the Guardian forum (with input from some well known scientists) quote:Well, maybe they do, but I'm certainly left in the dark about this. Actually, 3 different scientists said that they would investigate it, but they never reported back to me, and didn't respond to any of my emails later. Maybe no-one will research, or nobody will publish any results, but, in that case, I will do so myself. I'm planning on going back to university, to start doing a study that allows me to do the proper experiments myself. I'm busy trying to finance the whole thing. RRM |
| Ganesh 05-26-2003 08:18 PM | No hard feelings re: Barbelith. It took me a while to disentangle the constituent parts of that ReformedRobotMan, but I don't think I ever really took major issue with the biochemistry/nutrition stuff. If anything, it interests me - and I think you were right that it's a growing field within Medicine. It's a pity no researcher's stayed the course with your calcium theories; I'd have liked to see that hypothesis properly tested. |
