| Author | Topic: "Detox", dysentery, long term diet... |
| engesongwok 01-28-2003 01:48 PM | Hello, I have tried some other raw diet, and they usually called severely loose stools, rashes, headaches and fevers 'detox'. Does this diet have a similar concept of 'detox', when a person changes from S.A.D. (Standard American Diet)(whatever that is, I am not convienced that there is one)to a raw vegan, or a mixed fruit and raw animal product diet? I would like to know because, I want to have some idea of how long some symptoms might last. For instance my loose stools have advanced to 'dysentery'. Being mostly liquid, like a rain trough. Otherwise I feel fine. But my years of conditioning in conventional nutrition tells me that 'something is wrong'. Any health issues associated with prolonged diarreha? I have had this for about three days now. How does one tell the difference between 'detox' and perhaps some serious illness like 'dysentery' or some other condition. I suppose only a physician could make a diagnosis. Thank you for taking my rather long and convoluted questions and concerns. James |

Remember, every laxative was developed around the time Heroin was first being produced and marketed by Bayer. It may seem abnormal to defecate multiple times a day, but I don't think its a problem. At least, its not for me. Honestly however, as I said in another thread, I got some Vicodin cough syrup from the doc. Its active ingredient hydrocodone is ultimately metabolized into morphine by your liver. Needless to say, narcotic constipation seems to last only as long as the effects of the drug. If I have pizza, I will have cramps for days. Minimum two, usually three. So, my advice to you , if it really bothers you, AND you live outside of the United States, just go get some codeine for when you need it. At least you can take comfort in knowing it will wear off in six hours. |
