Regarding general health?

Diets that supply you with less energy than you need, are definitely the worst, since you will eventually die, within years.
Fasting (for a very limited period of time, of course) doesn't have to bad, depending on your spare energy and your level of activity, but I certainly wouldn't advice to fast.

u said a diet 2 low in energy or with less energy than u need would kill u within years but y would it take so long woudnt it take only a few months ?
and more importantly i wanted 2 knoe if u think its possible for the body 2 adapt 2 a minimal caloric diet while maintaining maximum function and energy due 2 heat and energy regualtion giving u a superior systeme that works with more for less especially compared 2 a normal person with a ''normal'' diet do u think its possible ?
thanks for ure time

Of course, it depends on how big the daily energy deficit is.
People with lasting anorexia generally live years before they die.
The body converses all the stored energy into available energy before it's exhausted, and all muscles, organs, cells contain stored energy. So, if you remain physically inactive, it can take quite a while before you actually die.

Yes, in theory, it is possible, but it takes a very skilled person to do it right, without the adverse effects of undereating. It requires from you that you are constantly aware of your physical needs / energy levels.

One condition is that you don't eat too much fiber, because digesting them takes extra energy.
Another condition is that you minimize the uptake of toxins, so that you don't need energy to unarm / remove these.
Also, very importantly, you need to eat almost continously; lots of small bites, and no big meals. That way, you don't waste any energy by temporarily storing and utilizing energy (which happens when you eat only a few meals a day).

What about other diets...I spoke to a sister of mine last night extensively about diet. She really likes bread a lot, can't envision going without bread, even for a single day. She doesn't feel that its bad, especially since she is a bit religious, and states "Then why did Jesus eat bread?"

Speaking of religion, how well does the "wai says" diet fit into various religious and culturally conditioned eating paterns? There is something which I find annoying at times. On occation the topic of diet comes up, and I have had evangelicals state that all food is pure if you pray over it, and that god makes it pure. I think there is something to it, as one digests food better if you reduce anxiety...certainly religion is NOT the only way to do this, but it might take a slight edge off of even the poorest diets.

Jesus said that it is not what you put into your body (food) that defiles a person, but what comes out of you (evil speech) that defiles a person. I don't believe foods have spiritual significance. But I do believe in the physical reality of our bodies. God created our bodies to function a certain way eating certain foods. I don't claim to be the expert on the perfect diet. I'm searching for it. But I do know for sure that there weren't any Twinkies or hot dogs in the Garden of Eden.

I don't care what prayer you say over bad food, it will still harm your body and possibly kill you over time. Could I say a prayer over a bottle of whiskey, then drink the whole thing and not suffer the consequences? I don't think so.

Thank you Siroon,
My sister watches what she eats, and takes care of herself but perhaps from nutritional information which is dated. I agree with you, twinkies and hotdogs are definately NOT ideal foods, certain forms of alcohol might be ok to drink on occation. (Maybe on your birthday or on a major holiday). Otherwise, I think people who say such things just fooling themselves into thinking that poor eating habits won't hurt them. At the same time I realize that habits can be very difficult to change. In the future I will try not to talk about this or other diets unless she brings up the topic. That way I know she is interested, and ready for information.
