I've talked to a friend today who is also doing your diet and she told me that salt can be as addictive as drugs. I was shocked!!! No wonder I find it so hard to stop eating potato chips even when I told myself I will only have a small portion. The thing is I love potatoes chips and it was my choice of munch foods. So what do you I sugggest I do? I find it so difficult to just quit eating it...damn it is addictive!

it's not just the salt, they put more in it to have this effect: the 'taste enhancers' are actually protein concentrates, filled with addictive beta-carbolines.
The combination of high salt and beta-carbolines does 'wonders'...
They usually also add opioid peptides from cow's milk or wheat.

you need to gradually lower the intake of salt if you cannot do it at once. Your taste will automatically adapt itself to those lower levels. if you then eat more at a certain occasion, you will feel that it is waaaay to salt!
