Do you believe that Hdl and Ldl effect health?

You need them all, and you should not try to take in only one group of these, which is what some people do because they think that this is healthier.
these fats are all nutrients, and good for you, if they are still intact / undamaged, which means: come from raw foods.
And, if these raw foods can be digested very well, which means that they are natural foods for us, they are not out of balance regarding different fats; all fatty natural raw foods contain a healthy balance of different fats.
So, all you need to do, is to consume fatt natural raw foods, such as easy to digest raw nuts (Brazil nuts, macadamia nuts), egg yolks, avocado and raw salmon / tuna.

whether the cholesterol is named HDL or LDL, depends on what protein it is transported by.
The means of transportation is not what makes the cholesterol good or bad, it is simply that different carriers will be specialized in transporting different types of cholesterol (naturally, there is not just cholesterol present in the body, but also oxysterols).
Since damaged cholesterol = bad oxysterols, bad oxysterols will be predominantly transported by either HDL or LDL, and thus, you may find a correlation between disease causing cholesterol, and the protein they are transported by, BUT, that does not make one of these proteins a suspect.
The only thing that can make natural cholesterol bad, is not the transporter, but that what damages it: heat.
