| Sanna 12-27-2002 12:34 PM | if I consume 8 raw egg yolks daily, am I getting enough vitamin A or do I still need to eat high carotene fruits like mangoes or cantaloupes etc? Is it okay if I eat only: -lots of orange juice from well ripened sweet oranges (with olive oil added) -3 to 5 ripe bananas -8 yolks -one good avocado and some Brazil nuts.... (I eat a lot, I absorb enough calories) bananas and oranges don't contain much carotenes so I'm wondering if I'm lacking vitamin A... or are the yolks enough?` what about regarding other nutrients? Do you think I can eat like this all my life and be perfectly healthy? I want to eat like this because its so easy and delicious... Sanna ![]() |

But these nuts make your diet more perfect. quote:If you submit your diet to the nutrient calculator, you will have your answer. I've submitted your version of the diet to this calculator (so that your energy requirements are met), and it shows that your total intake of vitamin A (RE, including carotenes) = 1754 mcg, while you need only 800 mcg quote:Please check it out YOURSELF! It seems perfectly fine regarding all nutrients. quote:Absolutely! |
