Hi Wai,

I've been eating the same thing everyday for breakfast and dinner for 1 month now, and this is a diet that works for me...I haven't had a single new pimple since being on this diet. I just want to ask you if this diet supplies me with all of the nutrients I need everyday.

Breakfast & Dinner:
(1) Spinach
(2) Tomatoes
(3) Green & White Onions
(4) Water Chestnuts
(5) Salmon
(6) Pork Tenderloin (just for soup flavoring)
(7) Apples

...I chop everything up and boil them with hot water, served over a bed of hot steamy white rice (no added oil, sugar, spiced, salt, or flavoring).
The pork is added for soup flavoring and I do not eat the pork. However, I do eat the salmon.

I would wait about 1 hour and eat the following fruits everyday:

(1) Watermelon
(2) Black & Red Grapes
(3) Avocados
(4) Strawberries

...This diet has been working for me so I plan to stick to it....would you please tell me if I have all of the daily nutrients covered in my diet? Should I add anything to my diet?

Thanks Wai...

Judy

I guess your acne was mild?
You are a very lucky person; obviously, you are not susceptible to 'dirty' protein; otherwise you wouldn't be clear now (because of the cooked salmon, chestnuts, rice and pork).
If you add salt to your food, do you break out?

Yes, you are ingesting all required nutrients, but I cannot tell to what extend you are ingesting ENOUGH of all of them, because I don't know the quantities and because foods such as rice, chestnuts etc. are not in the nutrient calculator.
You can calculate all values by hand though.....
First submit the fruits, nuts etc that you eat to the nutrient calculator, and then you will know what nutrients are not sufficiently present in your diet yet. So then you only need to focus on these nutrients in the rest of your food (rice, chestnuts etc). You can look up these specific contents of the remaining foods in the USDA Nutrient Database.

...My acne is "severe" when I eat greasy, oily, fried, baked, roasted, grilled, or spicy food. It is "moderate" to "mild" when I eat normal food with mild seasoning and flavoring with salt, sugar, or flavoring sauce. I have recently confirmed that it is ONLY when I eat either "boiled" or "steamed" food WITHOUT seasoning or flavoring that I achieve clear skin.

Thanks for your reply and for referring me to the nutrient calculator.

Ah, okay, so you are only mildly susceptible to 'dirty' protein; the more heat is involved (grilling, frying etc.), the more protein is damaged (becoming 'dirty'), and very much susceptible to salt, spices etc.

Did you first try the acne sample diet and then re-introduced steamed / bolied foods into your diet, or did you first cut out all the spices / seasoning and intense heating of your food?

Is the salmon cooked?
How much can you eat of it without breaking out?

PS I will move this thread to the "mixed experiences" forum after your next post.
