| Moon 05-08-2003 01:31 PM | Hi Wai I have noticed a weird thing my body does. When I eat and am running around campus all day I don't seem to get as hungry as I do when I am home studying all day. Its like the more I am on the move the more my digestion is off, and the more relaxed I am in the day, I seem to have really fast digestion and eat more. Why is this?? ~moon~ |
| Wai 05-10-2003 12:37 PM | quote:that is because of the following combination: 1: these activities dont involve heavy exercising (no intense utilisation of sugars = little hunger) 2: these activities distract you from thinking about eating; because interesting things happen around you, your mind wants to spend all its energy on those activities and hormones are secreted that stimulate the conversion of muscle protein and adipose fat, and that spare the utilization of glucose the same thing happens when you are in stress these processes inhibit your appetite (think about not feeling hungry when you are in love, or angry, or afraid) |
