| PhiVan 02-18-2003 01:17 AM | My friends said I eat too much fruits and it will make me fat because I will become insulin resistant. Just out of curiosity, what is your point of view on those high-protein/high-fat/low-carb diets? Why some people are successful on those diets? It's like an oxymoron. I can't imagine losing weight eating all those poisonous foods!!! |

For an explantion, check out this thread: link quote:Check out this part of the book: http://www.freeacnebook.com/56-63.htm#57 quote:you can lose weight on any diet, as long as you succeed in ingesting less energy than you utilize. You can do so by keeping your body from ingesting required nutrients, or you can do it by restoring the influence of your natural set-point system. The first requires that your will to lose weight dominates the longing for food. And, anyone can do so for a limited period of time; Some can do this all their life, and some can only do this for a few hours. the ones with the strongest willpower will be most succesful in dominating their body's desires. So, you can do any diet, and succeed, as long as your willpower is strong enough. The question is: do you want to keep on fighting your body's longings for nutrients all your life? or do you rather 'just' fight the addiction to beta-carbolines and opioid peptides? |
