| monica 09-08-2002 04:20 PM | I don't drink very much at all, just a martini or two on the weekends. How detrimental is vodka in regards to my health and weight loss? Should i consider it a munch food and try not to have it unless my glycogen stores are low/empty?? Hmmmm.....maybe a home made bloody Mary made with fresh squeezed vegetable juice is the answer!! |
| Wai 09-09-2002 03:06 PM | Alcohol (regardless in what 'package') is a powerful appetite enhancer, especially in combination with beta-carbolines (cooked foods); they enhance each other's appetite enhancing properties. So, when you drink, make sure not to consume any cooked food (since you want to be leaner, right?) |
| monica 09-10-2002 10:24 AM | absolutely! FYI i have already lost 5 lbs and nearly all of the cellulite on my rear!! Do you feel that even 1 martini is horribly detrimental to health/weight loss?? Is it better to have a glass of juice before I drink or mixing the vodka\ with fresh juice?? Do you drink alcohol? If so, how do you incorporate it? |
| monica 09-13-2002 06:14 AM | should i have fat with alcohol (ie nuts) as i do with any other munch food? |
| Wai 09-13-2002 06:43 AM | quote:Do you want to hear that it is not horrible? It does what it does. The combination of munch foods and alcohol is a no no, because they enhance each other's effects. You decide what munch foods you want to eat. And if you want to drink alcohol, you better not eat munch foods. quote:That doesn't make any difference. quote:no. quote:yes, that is okay. |
