I am 20 years old now and I am a diabetic since I was 13. I always thought that diabetes had nothing to do with my acne. But now I am afraid that there is a strong connection between having diabetes and acne.
To what degree diabetes can cause acne? What exactly is the relation between the two? And finally, .... What about your super-diet that will definetely help everyone to conquer acne, .... Is it possible for a diabetic to follow this diet? I really don't think it would work for me. I would have major difficulties keeping my blood-glucose level high enough when following your diet. What's your opinion on this?

One acne culprit is too much fluctuating blood sugar levels, which happens if the blood sugar level is less trictly regulated.
And, in diabetics, the system that regulates the blood sugar level, is not functioning optimally.

Too much fluctuating blood sugar levels can cause acne because glucose is a water-attracting molecule, just as 'dirty' protein and salt are.

Yes, you are not the first one.
Are you a type 1 or 2?

Not more than anyone else. You don't need MORE glucose.
what is malfunctioning in you, is the system that regulates your blood sugar level. On a normal diet, the strain on this system is much bigger, because on a normal diet you need less often, and bigger meals. This means that the insulin system needs to work harder to keep your blood sugar levels high enough between meals, and low enough right after thoise big meals.

On this diet, a diabetic needs LESS supplementary insulin because the supply of energy is much more constant.

For a non-diabetic acne patient, keeping the blood sugar level at the right level is essential to prevent acne.
For a diabetic acne patient, keeping the blood sugar level at the right level is essential to prevent acne AND healthwise.
That is the only difference.
