| Simontreally 05-25-2003 09:21 AM | OK i have tried the diet for over 1 month now, ok i did make a few mistakes, but my spots have got worse. I feel the diet can work! BUT people like me, who suffer hormonal acne (as im 18) dont have any positive results to go on. while on the diet i feel my mistake was not having a high intake of Cholesterol, as this governs hormones does it not? When ever i consume eggs from anywhere in my town, they all dash, the ones i did comsume made me really ill. Only fresh fish sellers, are the supermarkets and i do not trust them to not freeze there meat. Anyway before going on the diet the doctor gave me a month dose of Oxytetracycline, which i still have. This is the doctors first result of treatment by the UK GP i know that. It claims to treat many infections including lungs, urinary system, skin and eyes. But how exactly does this medicine help acne? It says by attacking bacteria on the skin. So will this rid me of the small bumps all over my face however unhealthy. If i stuck to a healthy diet of low dirty protein intake, fruits etc and used this medicine would i rid myself of acne Do i not need a medicine that lowers sebum production? When given this medicine i was given no advice, what its meant to do?? Doctor = useless most of the time! Any way, sorry for starting a new threaD Wai, but i couldnt see one that addressed this issue If anyone can offer there oppinion that would be good ![]() |
| moydodyr 05-26-2003 12:13 AM | quote:It kills the bacteria in the skin that eats the sebum and transforms it into some substance, forgot the name, that irritates the skin and gives you inflammations. Unless your bacteria have resistance to that antibiotic, yes, it will clear you up. BUT its a temporary effect, as soon as you stop the antibiotics, the zits come back with a vengeance. And you cant take antibiotics forever because they are no good: 1) sooner or later, resistant bacteria develops and they become ineffective 2) they kill a lot of other good stuff, like the bacteria in your gut and intestine, which leads to a spread of malicious yeast in your guts (Candida albicans, and other crap) 3) It affects your immune system, and a lot of other stuff we dont know about. Antibiotics are bad for you and they dont solve the problem anyway. |
| Simontreally 05-26-2003 05:44 AM | OK im stuck in a rut! I have decided to take the antibiotics not that i want to, but my acne is worce than ever.If i use the them to clear some of the ance short term - i will start Wai's diet again long term. Although when on the antibiotics where can i get all the stuff from the Egg Yolk? without having it. What meat is best to have, to absorb the least dirty protein, i will be eating fruits and fats aswell. |

It takes about a month to clear up anyway, so you won't get instant relief if thats what you are looking for. Once I came off the antib's it came back worse than it used to be. I have more severe acne now than ever before... If i use the them to clear some of the ance short term - i will start Wai's diet again long term. | Simontreally 05-26-2003 09:38 AM | well at the mo this is what im doing: - oxytetracycline - following fruits part of Wai's diet - And some packeted turkey 50g - Hopefully this will improve some acne atleast. I just want to rid my self of a bit now, as to follow the sample diet getting more acne is the most gutting feeling. Once some of the acne is gone, I will start wai's SUPeRB Diet longterm! I need that coconut oil (come-on Mr Postman!) |
| Wai 05-26-2003 11:21 AM | quote:No, you have not you have not been on the 100% strict diet! if you cheat only once, you are back at day 1 yes, cholesterol aids a perfect hormonal balance but, as long as you are not sticking to all the sample diet rules, i cannot support you with advice... |
| Simontreally 06-07-2003 02:32 PM | hiya all, its simon im back with less acne wahoooooooOk i still have few spots, but they are clearing fast. I just want to thank Wai for the advice off her site, in informing me how to live properly. Basically since ive been gone ive tried not to come on the site, as it was making me really depresed, and self concious about everything i eat and touch. My severe breakouts i beleive were from throwing up egg yolk all the time, and consequenlty not getting enough energy or protein. And this coconut all is doin the trick, lowering sebum productiom which i have never had before So ive been eating my fruit and drinkin my OJ when i can, having small amount of meat and pototoes every day, EVEN a small portion of corn flakes and skimmed milk -WoW And this has been successful, i also beleive getting out of the house, not sitting looking at the computer is brilliant for spots i dunno what it does (take your mind off it i think) Any way i just wanted to ask Wai, i am going to a music festival soon over two days (camping) and there is not going to be fruit stools for me to get fruit (more like burgers and chips and beer) im thinking this doesnt sound two good for my remaining spots: I notice i cannot go without energy for for as long as my friends can: would a good idea be to take dried fruits and brazil nuts to munch on for energy. Take as much OJ with me for first day atleast. Probably eat a burger or two, for my munch food item. I had two cokes last night at the pub, and when i got home i had really broken out bad , but i drank a pint OJ/ water, went to bed and my skin was back to normal in the morning - weird.I get dark eye circles really easily, does this mean lack of energy? As i have so much more sugar and fat etc than my mates and they do not get them. How annoying! i think its in my gene make up, as i just feel like a much more weak individual than other, like if i lived on burger, chips and coke and smoked (like most of my mates) i would be a tired, fat, spotty mess! and i know it ive been there. I just want to know if there has been any studies on gene make-up that makes some people imune to junk food and other so suseptable - does it work in family generations of people who have eaten junk food? maybe we'll never know ![]() |
| RRM 06-10-2003 02:47 PM | The susceptibility to anything will always be individually different; that is why we are individuals; we are not machines, but individually different beings, which means that we are different in our responses to our circumstances; one will get acne from one burger, while someone else can eat burgers all week and still have a clear skin.
