Wai, Before I went on the diet, I was on proactiv which seemed to work for a while but then it stopped, leaving me with underground blemishes and red marks. As soon as I stopped proactiv(containing benzoyl peroxide)and used rosewater, the redness diminished, but after a couple days on the diet the red spots began to peel and become flaky. However, I know the rest of my skin is not dry or anything and I don't want to use oil because I tested it out and it doesn't really work. Is this a normal sign of healing?

Another question . . . My acne is not all that bad (besides the red marks) but I notice I have so much more breakouts on the right side of my face (the left side of my face is practically clear) Why is this?

yes!
while using the cream, your skin didn't get the time to heal properly, now it does

that is because water retention can very easily shift; its a very delicate balance
so, that if the concentration of water retaining molecules is only fractional higher locally, the water will mostly be retained only there
that is why acne can be so locally (and thus also happen at only one side of the face (or back / neck)
