anyone else?

i have a couple hard nodules under skin that are from pimples that were active months ago. The skin is not inflamed and all seems normal, just very slight discoloration and small hard bump under skin. How do I get rid of these? One has been there for more than six months

john,
Yeah I get those nodules also. I dont believe Ive had one longer than a couple months, but my acne takes a long time to heal too.Ill have a pimple for a couple days and then the "after-mark" is there for several weeks.
What to do? If they are on your face I dont know, but if they are on your back or elsewhere, where the skin is less delicate and sensitive, maybe try daily light exfoliation to increase cellular turnover of your skin. I do this on my back-very gently and frequently-and it seems to make the skin heal faster. Good luck.

in such cases you can accelerate the shedding of the skin by the means of mild peelings (don't rub your skin; don't irritate the 'sleeping monster'), sunlight exposure, or any topical anti acne product that accelerates the shedding of the skin. You cannot use such products on your face all over because it accelerates the aging of your skin, but to get rid of such 'sleeping bumps', they'll do perfectly.

BTW... : the fact that it takes so long for these under the skin bumps to go away, means that your skin is no longer in a state of accelerated shedding of the skin (which is the case in most acne patients; due to the inflammations), which is good for your skin...
Also, the fact that they don't inflammate again (returning into 'live cysts'), means that you are in control of the amount of water retained in your skin; if the water-pressure was too high, that would have caused re-inflammation...
