| Author | Topic: organic to eliminate acne? |
| Ryan 01-24-2003 01:55 PM | Hi wai Do you think that the sole uptake of organic food could possibly prevent acne..... i met a health guru who specialises in shiatsu massage, macrobiotic cooking, yoga, meditation etc.... He took one quick look at me and told me i was eating too many fruits because my lips, and ears were too red. And that my energy was out of balance because of all the sugars from the fruit. I have been doing the diet for about 6 weeks with some success ( although i have eating cooked food a few times and a bit of wine) my skin has cleared quite well, but there is still some spots. He said if i ate a specific kind of grain that it would clear those spots....i referred him to your webpage and sent him an email asking about diet. He believes a 100% organic diet will clear the skin. He has a organic cook book. I will let you know what his reply is, and i will probably see him next week so i will keep you posted. Thanks wai!! ![]() |

| john 01-30-2003 04:34 PM | Hi Ryan, I discovered that the diet principles do work for me, as you have, and have been incorporating foods outside the diet. I have had very good success on a diet of cooked vegetables and potatoes. I freely use butter and also consume coke, cheese-itz and cookies. I stay away from fried foods (incl potato chips and doughnuts), meat, and dairy. My current diet is not the healthiest, and it does leave me more constipated, but I'm just experimenting around with my bounds of tolerance. I guess everyone is not so lucky. This is not my advice to you, just what has worked for me (hey, as long as I'm NOT in the sample diet forum discussing it!). Once we discover that the diet principles work for us (THANK YOU WAI!) then we each have to figure out how to structure our own diets to fit our tastes, lifestyle, and tolerances. >eating cooked food and a bit of wine I don't drink wine right now, but I may try again. I really just haven't wanted any for the past month. >my skin has cleared quite well, but there is >still some spots. I understand. Some of my bumps take a LONG time to go away--months! And the darker spots from them can take six months or a year! Odd thing, when I was home over Christmas I ate more meat and got a few more pimple bumps, but the ones I did get went away faster than usual. I wondered if increased protein assisted in repair of skin? >He said if i ate a specific kind of grain that >it would clear those spots.... what type of grain? Good luck |
