What is the difference between a whitehead and a yellowhead? Also, if you leave either of these alone, is it bad? Could they spread as in your earlier post about whiteheads? I guess my question is this . . . Ultimately, what should we do with a pimple that has come to a head?
Another question for you, is expeller pressed WAlnut oil ok for the skin? (its only ingredients are 100% pure walnut oil.)

actually, most people use both words for the same thing
but i can imagine that a whitehead may not come with an inflammation, while the yellowhead is accompanied with an inflammation under the skin

a surfaced whitehead/ yellowhead may spread on the surface if left alone, but it may also simply dehydrate and peel away...
so, that really depends

first of all, you need to make sure that the pus below the skin is really ready to surface too (only experience can teach you this)
if you try to push out pus that 'is not ready' you can seriously aggravate the inflammation
on the other hand, releasing pressure from the inflammation by draining pus, helps to calm down the inflammation
So, the key is that you should only drain pus from your skin when that is very easy to do
i know that you can only be sure how easy it is once you actually try, but you need to learn to recognise when you can actually drain it
it is always better to wait too long than to act too soon

in any case, you need to see a yellow/white head that seems to 'want to jump out of the skin', before acting on it

some react adversely, but yes, it is good to protect your skin against dehydration by applying a few drops of oil on your skin after having taken a shower / bath
apply the drops on the skin that is still a bit moist ('towel-dry'), so that the oil can mix with that water

A problem I have is touching my face alot. When I get a pimple I tend to mess with it and that makes it worse.

My question is about how to care for a pimple when it occurs. Leave it alone? Apply a topical ointment? What is best?

if the zit / pimple is not 'ready', touching it indeed makes it worse, because you are applying pressure, which activates the bacteria that create pus (more pus = bigger zit)

its best to prevent them, anything else generally doesnt help
when a zit is ripe; when it has become a yellowhead / whitehead that is ready to pop, you should pop it, to prevent it from becoming wider (causing a greater wound)

as long as it is not 'ripe' yet, you should leave it alone indeed, and be 100% strict with the diet, so that it will come out the fastest

i know that it is hard not to use something topical; you want to get rid of it now, no matter what...

I've noticed that some of mine never "come to a head." They just disappear. What is happening when this occurs? And is this good or bad?

That is good; it means that the water pressure has diminished to such an extend that an inflammation is no longer fed by the water pressure, such that the cleaning up enzymes can actually win this battle.
