the winter here in Finland is so damn cold, in Lapland it was -40 celsius for weeks and here in Helsinki where I live it was -30 for a month or so, now it's been around -15, today -12...but the wind makes it soooo much colder, every day it's really windy...okay my question is:

no matter how many coats and pants and sweaters and hats I layer on, my face FREEZES daily (I have a big dog who needs long walks) to the point where it is seriously red all over. I can't put clothes on my face and I have to walk outside. But it hurts and stings and my face gets all numb. The winter is long (way too long)...does all this freezing of my face cause the skin to prematurely age?
(I'm not talking about the dehydrating effect, I do put oil on my face.)

i'm sorry to say, but the freezing does accelerate aging of the skin, because the oil can never totally prevent the dehydrating effect of the freezing...
That is why the skin of eskimos is always so wrinkly...
