Hello!

So far, the only foundation that seems to work with my skin is the Jane Iredale pure-pressed powder. I've been using it for over a year, and I quite like it. However, I am concerned that it has ingredients that accelerates the aging process.

Are the following percentages high?

Active Ingredients:
Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)......6%
Zinc Oxide (CI 77497)............1.5%
May contain Iron Oxides

What would you consider to be low percentages for such make-ups that has the so-called ingredients?

Thanks!!!

in general, i consider 1% as the limit (so, 6% is quite high), for me, but the bad thing is that more and more make ups contain these metal-oxides, and in higher amounts... [Mad]

because of that, i've been changing make ups a few times already; it seems to get worse... [Mad]

so, it might very hard to find a make up that contain low levels, or no metal oxides at all...
For me it is hard, i'm still searching... [Confused]
again...

But, if your skin is happy with that make up so far, i wouldn't buy another one, unless you come accross one that contains lower levels, or non of it at all, of course

maybe it's better not to wear any make-up....
My skin is good so I don't really need it...maybe the oil will give me enough protection against pollutants and dehydration?
(Finland is not that polluted actually...but the air is very dry in winter)

I have checked ALL the foundations available here in Helsinki and I can't find any "less bad" ones, all of them (cheap and expensive) contain lots of oxides and propylene/butylene glycol etc

Oh and they are all either "anti-aging" or "moisturizing" or "vitamin enriched" (E and C)
no regular ones available...
It sucks and I'm tired of searching. Just oil for me from now on.

Well, you are right; if the air is not polluted, you don't need the make up, but you do need the oil...
