okay, i know there was another post similar to this one, but it didnt quite answer some questions that i was wondering about.

1) should we use sunscreens? if not, how should we go abouts protecting our skin from the sun? i have no clue if they are good or bad, since they use all those minerals.

2) is sun damage permanent? i have gotten my nose burned quite a few times, and it has left my nose with a slightly darker hue.

3) does sun damage cause permanent aging? i hope sun damage isnt longterm, because it would be great it we could reverse all teh damage and skin aging that has been done by the sun. even a good diet and lifestyle can't undo the sun's powerful rays.

plus, since our ozone layer is getting thinner and thinner, we have no choice but to use something to protect our skin. thanx!

yes

those containing metals can damage your skin, due to the 'mirror-effect' of these metals, indeed...

the damage itself is not permanent, though it can take quite a while to recover totally.

What is permanent, is the acceleration of the aging process; the aging process can be slowed down again, but that previous acceleration can never be undone anymore. But, the accelerated aging during only a few years (or even less) is not so bad if you take good care of your skin for the rest of your life. Protect it, and it will remain young much longer.
