Wai, do you recommend makeup for men? Would it be the same regime you recommend for women? Thank you...

No, she doesn't recommend make up for men. Not because we are biochemically different, but for 'social reasons'. Yes, it could protect our skin as well, but some oil does too.
Or do you want to hide scars?

Thanks RRM. Nope, I don't have scars. Just trying to do what's best for my skin. By oil, you mean walnut oil, just a small amount on the skin?

You can use walnut oil, indeed.
It is best applied on the skin after you have taken a shower / bath, when your skin is still a tiny little bit moist, so that the oil is best spread over a larger surface, and not immediately 'sucked up' by the skin. (which prevents spreading it over a larger surface)
But, when your skin feels dry, you can also put it on when the skin is not moist; then it perfectly protects the skin immediately.

Don't overdo it with the oil; try to use as little as necessary, so that your skin still produces enough oil by itself. Applying oil to your skin is only meant to aid where to little oil surfaces the skin.

Make up for men? I find that I don't need it at all. Since I have been taking better care of myself, I find that I often look like I am wearing make up. Rose coloured cheeks, red lips, dark long eyelashes are some of the symptoms.

Fortunately, I don't have scaring on my face. Early in my teen years I got acne, my mother nagged me about keeping clean. I didn't accept that as the cause, as I scrubbed, washed and swabbed my face until my skin was dry, red and tight. Still there was acne.

So, I went to the library and found the book "Acne can be cured". This book didn't recommend the same things as this site, but it did say to stay away from chocolate, shortening, hard fats (like lard and Butter). Also to avoid caffeine, alcohol and excess sugar. It said that eggs were ok, and that nuts and fruit were actually GOOD for your skin! I ate according to these suggestions all through high school, and it helped alot! But I did get alot of flak from other people, including family members who thought that I was somehow missing something. (god, they thought that only beef contains protein)
