I´ve been on Wai´s diet since January, and as I have said before, my skin is totaly under control.
Now eleven months later all of a sudden my skin is totaly drying out.
I´m cleansing with cucumber juice and I use macadamia or wallnut oil to prevent the drying out. No tap water either.
The only factor I could think of is the weather; could that be?
Everything had been working just fine with my skin, and I havn´t changed anything, so what is your opinion on this?
The skin isn´t flaky or anything, but it´s just not as soubtle as it used to. Also due to the dryeness a few whiteheads are forming, I hope this doesn´t mean I´m going backward!!!
Help!

Karen,

Absolutely. That is why, since centuries, native people in colder regions of this planet put lots of fat on their face; the colder the weather, the more protection it needs. (though you also need more protection if the sun is very strong)
Yes, it is the weather.
Make sure to put more oil on your face, or more often.

Sounds perfectly logical to me, now that the raining season in México
is over, cold weather is coming in, brrrr , but usually with sunshine. The sun is pretty strong here, as you might know.
Now the question I have is: doesn´t the skin burn much easier from the sun when oil is applied??? I´m noticing that my complexion is a shade darker or reder than before.
I´m very "freckly" by nature, and that would be fine with me... but what I hate is getting these uneven dark blotches (maybe hormones or liver, or just plain acne leftovers?)
Before I used sunscreen what should I do now?
This question hadn´t arisen before as the sun had been hiding for a few months...

The burning actually more likely happens when there is no oil on the skin (as when your fry meat in a pan without using oil or butter; it likely turns black). But, yes, when using the oil, you can stand the sun longer, and thus your tan will get darker.

when you cannot avoid the sun sufficiently, you should use sun screen.
