AuthorTopic: one week, starting to hate the diet...

Hi,

I am trying the diet for a week now, I have been eating juice fruits, salad, olive oil, nuts, and raw fish, and I start to hate this diet for the following reasons:

1. Time consuming + Food obsession.
2. Feeling weak, and heavy.
3. 9 meals a day -> have to cary food
everywhere, and think about my next meal
all the time.

1. Going to buy all the time fresh food and eating only fresh means that you all the time need to be shoping for fresh food, means that you need to spend lots of time on the market place, and also on making the juice and salads, which also takes lots of time.

2. I feel weak. I feel like after long weight lifting when I do simple and what used to be easy exercise. I feel heavy when I walk or climb stairs. My joints are clicking.

3. People should be free, and not slaves of their juice bottle. With the diet I do, I have no power one or two hour after I drink. If I think about it, the only animals that are like this are cows and its alike that all day long eat grass. If something helped people to evolve, it is not being occupied in eating all day.

Here I am living this negative experience. I don't know what I am going to do. On the one hand I want to see what the diet can do to me. On the other hand I don't like at all what it already has done to me. It made me weak, it took too much of my time, and it took my freedom from food.

I think I am free NOW...I was not free when I was eating cooked foods, because they made me addicted (just like a drug junkie). And besides, I feel that I am also free in the sense that now I have a choice between the healthy diet and the bad diet...I never had that kind of choice before simply because I didn't really know what was the right way to eat (the healthy way).
I think if you stick to the diet for a bit longer you will see all the benefits more clearly...
You feel weak because you are probably still not getting enough calories. And yes it is normal to feel hungry after one or two hours since you had some fruits...
I think this diet made my life much easier (no dirty dishes/cooking/wondering if the food is healthy or not) and of course I never get any pimples again...nor will I get fat or feel bloated as I always did before.
and I don't want to get cancer/alzheimer's/heart disease etc.
You can always stop the diet if you really can't do it...but before you do that I suggest you try eating more and more often(so you won't feel weak) and maybe trying different fruits (maybe you get sick of eating the same fruits day in day out?).
On this diet you will feel more energetic and focused all day than on a "normal" diet because you are not ingesting any sedative substances..and because fruits and raw animal food are easy to digest so your body won't have to waste energy on digestion (especially if you consume juices instead of whole fruits)
but..YOU HAVE TO EAT LITTLE, BUT OFTEN...and always fat with fruits. You can't possibly feel bad if you do this right.
(your cravings/addiction for cooked food is probably still pretty strong, too. try eating more yolks, the cholesterol will help you to fight those strong cravings)

what helped me is that i got SO FED UP with zits, low blood sugar (from eating only 3 meals a day), and constipation. it took me three months on and off to stick with the diet for good. so don't get discouraged. everyone is different. changing your diet is a big deal, that's why most people would prefer to buy creams and whatever craps they sell at the store to get rid of acne. but if you navigate this site and wai's book enough, you already know that diet is a BIG CONTRIBUTION to acne. I don't have cravings, and my acne is not so bad, but my skin is dry, and I don't want strage opioids etc. to be in my system. What I don't like is being linked to food all day. (I like to eat and be done with it.)

Also making the juices takes lots of time, so I
wonder: why do we need all these fruits juice? can't we just put a melting vitamin adative to a bottle of watter add lots of suggar and oil and be done with it?

Me too, I am on day 5 and I feel that if I see another apple or orange I am going to vomit... the joy of consuming cooked food for acne elimination is a BIG sacrifice... the hardest thing is watching your friends enjoy their curry chicken and roast beef and having perfect skin at the same time [Mad] and I am not too convinced this whole thing actually works for me... got two new zits this morning, and I followed all the rules so far for 5 days... gotta be strong and have faith [Roll Eyes]

I can totally relate Jhonyl, I feel like my life is now about eating, thats all I think about , its all I seem to do, slice oranges for the juice extractor, crack eggs, hell by the time I got 1 brazil nut cracked open an hour had passed, whats worse my acne has not improved at all, in fact I believe it is getting worse. Its funny cos the diet in the beginning sounds so simple, see sample diet rules, all it says is eat as much fresh fruit as you want, some raw animal protein and some OO, who would have thought you would have to think about it all the time, and measure every freaking thing you consume. I am getting very discouraged. [Frown]

Amon,

On Mai 27 you wrote: "I am on day 3 of the sample diet"
, which means that you are on day 7 now
, IF you did everything right.
