This is a very old debate and I have been paying a lot of attention to it because for 2-3 months I was full of acne (never had problems before and I was 23 – 24 years old).

I used to smoke, drink, as water I used only coke and other soft drinks and my skin was perfect. I love coffee too by the way. I did not eat vegetables or fruits and I basically did not pay much attention to my health or skin.

I moved to Canada 1.5 years ago and I changed my cosmetics, then I got problems. So, food does not seem to interfere with my skin.
Now, I am not smoking or drinking at all for 2 years and I am eating right, not too much meat (only fish) and a lot of vegetables, fruits, nuts. I still like coffee but only once in a few days I actually drink one and my skin is the same as it was before my cosmetic fiasco.
I take vitamins and a drink a lot of water too.

I will probably not follow the regimen because really I have not seen a change in my skin ones I am eating one thing or another . Milk or yogurt do not give me problems I also eat (only really though ) a lot of chocolate / sweets and nothing.

Do you guys really see a connection between acne and what foods you eat. I know that basically everything is connected to everything … so I do not need a lecture in nutrition and how the body works. [Wink] I just wand to know your experiences and opinions.

hey, most people dont see clear correlations between foods and acne, because they consume acne causing foods anyway, no matter what foods they temporarily eliminate

that is why the sample diet is so strict; you first need to eliminate ALL possible culprits in order to be able to distinguish a clear correlation

Thanks . I do understand and I completely agree , to treat a bad case of acne is good to try everything and if it works too it’s even better. In my case though was not connected to my eating habits , I eat a lot like your diet thing. I am very glad that it actually works for people . [Smile]

eating a lot like my diet, is hardly ever enough to see the results you want
success is in the details, and that is why we designed the sample diet
even if your diet is only 1% different, this may be enough to not see any results
ive seen this happen so often... that the results only came after having eliminated that last culprit as well
before having tried that, the results generally are too confusing, and one isnt able to see any correlation
