| john 01-30-2003 03:54 PM | Have you ever had anyone have an acne reaction to concumption of tomato or citrus? I remember a girl complaining that she broke out whenever she ate an avocado but I couldn't find the post. Anything about that? |

| Isis 02-01-2003 11:19 AM | I react badly to citrus foods, tomatoes, kiwi fruit and pineapples. A doctor told me that they all contain a substance that some people are intolerant to...it can either make your skin itch...or bring you out in spots. A dermatologist inspected my skin and said it is possible that the toxins are being eliminated by the body through the skin. As for avocadoes...yum yum...but they cause me to have severe stomach cramps...and this is ABSOLUTELY THE TRUTH because I have tested it over and over again by elimination, starting again and general manipulation of my diet to see if it is indeed the culprit, which it is. ![]() |

(alkaloids / e.g. tomatine) if you are allergic, yes, then it can lead to acne, because the allergy makes your skin tighten, pinching off sebum canals. BUT, all those that are not allergic for these foods, cannot get acne from these foods. quote:then they have not properly ripened... |
