| mliq 05-08-2003 09:18 PM | I purchased brazil nuts in the shell from the recommended nutsonline.com site and they arrived today. Just like the shelled brazil nuts I bought locally, they are definitely more yellow on the outside than on the inside, though still not very yellow. Should they really be totally ivory colored? |

| Wai 05-09-2003 12:55 PM | the more ivory they are, the fresher they are but no, you can eat the yellow ones as well, as long as they dont taste bad / raunchy / bitter if the nuts were really very fresh, than they would taste better than the shelled ones |
| benzapp 05-09-2003 09:46 PM | I recently came accross a source of EXTREMELY fresh brazil nuts, and they honestly have a very similar creamy flavor to coconut. Almost all brazil nuts I have gotten in the store are very dry, much moreso than hazelnuts. |
