| Wai 09-02-2002 01:40 PM | quote:No, you are not buying the wrong brand. No, Brazil nuts do not contain a lot of protein, they contain very high-quality protein. Because of this high quality, 1 gram Brazil nut protein supplies you with as much valuable protein (amino acids) as 3 gram cow's milk protein. So, because of its quality, 5 gram Brazil nut protein equals 15 gram 'normal' protein. Brazil nuts contain 13.6% protein. So, 50 gram Brazil nuts contains 7.8 gram protein (equalling 23.4 gram 'normal' protein) For more information about protein quality, check this website. |
