AuthorTopic: Whats worse for acne: not enough protein/calories OR a little too much dirty protein?

I want to keep the diet but I really do not have time to eat enough calories or protein grams from fruit only, and I am quitting nuts because I think I may be allergic, and there is only frozen sushi available in my area. I'm not very active so I don't feel the need for more than 1500 calories per day about.

What is better for acne:
-Sushi that has been frozen (tuna) everyday
OR
-eating 20g protein from cooked meat per day
OR
-not getting enough protein or calories

and also what is better/worse out of just the last 2 options?

I'm curious to know, how long have you been on the diet? Have you tried raw egg yolk for protein?

I haven't tried raw eggs and I'm really not too excited about trying it. I'd rather eat sushi everyday than have to worry about making sure I don't make myself sick by using a bad egg.

I have been on the diet 2 weeks, and I have found a takeout with fresh tuna as of today, but I'm still wondering about the last two because I am going on a trip soon during which I will likely have to choose between those last two options.

this individually differs, just as one is more susceptible to salt while someone els eis mor e susceptible to 'dirty' protein
but, in general:
2) is worst, then 3), and then, to a much lesser extend, number 1)

but, very importantly, regarding your health, 3) is definitely worst, so that should be avoided at all times
1500 kcal is definitely not enough
i feel so strongly about this that i will refuse to advice you any longer if you dont ingest enough protein / calories...
i prefer you quit the diet over not consuming enough calories / protein; if you have to chose between 2) and 3), you better chose 2).

OK Wai I think I may just go with #2 and see how I do. It really is hard for me to be eating fruit all day long. But this still won't give me enough calories I'm afraid. I never ate more than 1500-2000 calories in a day I am pretty sure. I am a very inactive person so I don't feel the need. What are some really high calorie foods?

just out of curiousity, are you consuming enough fat? When I first started the diet I felt bad mostly eating fruit, but I started having juice with plenty of extra virgin olive oil or a salad occasionally with lot of oil along with the diet, and I felt pretty good,I felt more constant energy I think my insulin levels were changing to much.
What about brazil nuts do you have those?

mliq, your brain needs constant supply of sugar to think and do its vital job. i am a student and i sit in the library most of the day, but i need to eat/drink every hour (at least) to keep my blood sugar up. not only can i study better on this diet, i am in a better mood - no more energy burnout! Hey Mliq,

High calory foods are nuts (in the shell!), avocado, and, of course, juices with sugar and oil added. (very effective)
