| Wai 01-02-2003 02:00 PM | Do you mean: "Is cream as safe as butter?" , or do you mean: "is butter safe, and is cream as safe as butter?" Butter is relatively safe, but it is still a much food, so not totally safe, and neither is cream. They are perfect munch foods, and about equally 'safe'. |
| riko 01-04-2003 11:56 AM | There are different definitions on the web about the term "cream". Is it the yellowish fatty component of unhomogenized milk that tends to accumulate at the surface? There are private farms here that produce organic cream described like this. What is the difference between sour cream and cream? |
| Wai 01-06-2003 12:36 PM | i actually meant "whipping cream", which contains at least 30% fat (2.4% protein). Sour cream contains only 18% fat (2.8% protein), and is therefore a less good munch food. The ideal munch food is very low in protein, but also very high in fat and/or sugar, so that it is very fulfilling, so that you only need a little bit to satisfy you. |
| riko 01-07-2003 07:51 AM | So, the the yellowish fatty component of unhomogenized milk that tends to accumulate at the surface is sour or whipping cream? |
| Wai 01-07-2003 02:45 PM | neither. sour cream and whipping cream are milk PRODUCTS. I don't know what the contents of "the yellowish fatty component of unhomogenized milk that tends to accumulate at the surface" are. |
