| Chris10astra 09-16-2002 11:01 PM | Well I had followed the Sample Diet loosely. I had potato chips, or pasta, or a tortilla wrap a few times. But my acne definately got better. Then this weekend happened. I had lots of bad stuff, and now I am paying the price. My skin is definately telling me something. Now, I don't know if my period had something to do with it, as my skin usually gets worse immediately following it...but I am inclined to believe that the food had something to do with it. I had wheat, and lots of soy protein. Ugh. I am *really* looking forward to going back to the Sample Diet. I'm going to try to go at least a week without a cheat. I think I learned my lesson. I also had less good fat this weekend. I'm out of avocados and there's nothing like avocado with that salad. And if you have fruit for breakfast you have to have fat immediately afterward right? I got my Brazil nuts today! I didn't get much so I'll have to order more. They are so much different (better) than the store-bought shelled kind. If I eat a handful or so daily I'll be ok, right? Thanks for listening, I hope I do better! |

The good thing is, that with every time you break out due to a mistake, your learn from it, and even if you repeat the same mistakes, you learn from it, and with every mistake, you are getting closer to knowing all about how exactly your skin responds to food, and how to keep it clear and still be able to enjoy the goodies out there. quote:Yes. Or you can eat fat with it (as in oil added to juice) quote:Yes. and just as you can add oil to juices, you can eat raw Brazil nuts after fruit, or in combination with dried fruits or raisins; with the nuts you have more options to have fat after/with sugar. |
