| PhilosophicalAcnePatient 03-25-2003 09:14 PM | All: Is citrus contra-indicated for those suffering from eczema of the hands and arms? I have suffered from chronic acne since the age of 16 (I'm currently 25), and though with strict attention to diet the acne condition is improving, my eczema condition is worsening. Raw fruits are currently being emphasized, notably bananas, oranges, and grapefruit. Up until very recently - perhaps one month ago - I religiously avoided citrus, since the vast majority of traditional doctors urged skin patients to completely eliminate citrus from the diet; however, I did experience bouts with eczema even before citrus was introduced (these earlier battles with eczema may have been caused by occasional binges that are no longer practiced). Apparently tomato is contra-indicated for eczema patients as well. HELP!!!!! Baffled, Philosophical Acne Patient |
